Unlike most gacha games where you chase individual characters, this game rewards understanding how character relationships stack bonuses across your entire lineup. The Six Chemistry Tiers

The developer labels six distinct chemistry tiers. Each tier activates between specific character pairs and adds +1 OVR to both characters when active. Bonuses stack additively — a character in three active chemistries carries +3 to their rolled OVR, and both characters in every active pair receive the bonus.

Tier 1 — Prodigies United

The foundation tier. Characters who share a natural footballing connection activate this chemistry automatically when placed in valid positions. Examples include partnerships from the Blue Lock narrative — Yoichi Isagi and Hyoma Chigiri share the rivalry-friendship dynamic that drives both to improve, and Reo Mikage and Nagi Seishiro maintain a trust-based partnership that creates consistent activation.

Tier 2 — Crushing Rivalry

Stronger than Prodigies United. Characters who push each other through competitive tension. Rin Itoshi and Yoichi Isagi activate Crushing Rivalry when both are on the field, and both receive the performance boost. This is the tier you want active on your strikers.

Tier 3 — Master Class Trainee

Mid-tier chemistry between characters training under the same coach or within the same football philosophy. Less documented than the top two tiers but confirmed to exist from developer notes.

Tier 4 — Flow State

High-tier chemistry that activates between characters who complement each other’s playing styles particularly well. When active, both characters receive a measurable boost to their in-squad performance. The exact activation conditions vary by pair.

Tier 5 — The Big 3

Named specifically in the developer’s update notes. Forming a Big 3 chemistry pays out 3 Rerolls and 3 Refreshes in addition to the ongoing +1 OVR bonus both characters receive. This is the threshold where chemistry becomes a currency-generating investment, not just a stat boost.

Tier 6 — FULL HOUSE?!

The highest chemistry tier. The developer’s own exclamation mark is in the official name. Three confirmed full-house sets exist in the game as of August 2026:

• Nigeria Squad — Complete team, all members activate FULL HOUSE?! together
• FC Barcha — Lavinho, Bachira, Otoya, and Lara (all from the same club)
• PXG — Loki, Shidou, Charles, and Rin (all from the same team)

All three sets come from a single roll category, which means working within one category lets its chemistries assemble naturally. Forming a FULL HOUSE?! pays out 5 Rerolls and 5 Refreshes — equivalent to the largest promo codes in the game’s history.

How Chemistry Activation Works

Chemistry activates when two characters share a qualifying relationship AND both are placed in valid positions in your squad. The bonus does not apply if one character is benched or in an incorrect position.

Rules confirmed from live observation:

• Both characters must be in the active starting XI
• Both characters must be in valid positions for their role
• Chemistry bonuses are additive, not multiplicative — three active chemistries on one character means +3, not ×3
• A character can receive chemistry bonuses from multiple different pairs simultaneously
• Chemistry from the same tier does not stack — you get +1 per active pair, not +1 per tier

Formation example: If you place Rin and Isagi (Crushing Rivalry, active = +1 each), and both are also in a Flow State pair with a third character (+1 each), each of those two characters is receiving +2 chemistry bonus on top of their rolled OVR.

Forming chemistry rewards are paid out once per pair formation — not per match. Keep your chemistry pairs intact across sessions to maximize long-term token income.

How to Find Chemistry Pairs In-Game

The in-game collection index lists fifteen roll categories as of August 19, 2026: First Selection, Second Selection, Third Selection, Japan vs U20 Match, Bastard München, “Barcha”, Ubers, Manshine City, PXG, Pros & Masters, New Gen 11, Nigeria Squad, Japan U20 Squad, France U20 Squad, and Pro Strikers.

These are roll pools, not anime arc labels. A card’s chemistry affiliations are listed in the character detail screen — check there to see which chemistries a character participates in before pulling.

Building a Chemistry Chain Strategy

The most efficient chemistry builds overlap relationships so that one position change activates multiple pair bonds simultaneously. This is called a Chemistry Chain.

Work within one roll category — The three confirmed FULL HOUSE?! sets (Nigeria, Barcha, PXG) each come from a single category. If you focus rolls on the PXG category, the Loki, Shidou, Charles, and Rin chemistries will assemble naturally with less repositioning than a cross-category approach.

Prioritize Crushing Rivalry on strikers — Your primary scorers benefit most from the +1 OVR boost. Rin and Isagi together represent Crushing Rivalry chemistry that fires on your two best offensive slots.

Stack Big 3 rewards into your next session — The 3 Rerolls and 3 Refreshes from forming a Big 3 pair are immediately usable. Form the pair, claim the reward, then decide whether to keep or reroll the new pull.

Common Mistakes

Treating chemistry as secondary to OVR. A 90 OVR character with no active chemistry can underperform an 85 OVR character carrying +3 from three active chemistries. Chemistry multipliers compound — a character in three chemistries effectively performs at +3 higher than their rolled OVR.

Ignoring position validity. Chemistry that looks active in the squad builder may fail during match simulation if either character is out of position. Always verify glowing chemistry indicators before entering competitive play.

Building cross-category chemistries. If your squad draws from five different roll categories, chemistry relationships will be scattered and weak. Focus on one category and let its natural relationships fill in.

Confusing “chemistry” with “category.” The roll categories (First Selection, PXG, etc.) are gacha pool definitions, not chemistry labels. A character from the PXG category may have Crushing Rivalry chemistry with a character from Bastard München — chemistry and roll category are separate systems.

Chemistry and the Meta

The current competitive meta rewards chemistry-heavy builds. A squad with three active Crushing Rivalry pairs and a full Chemistry Chain typically outperforms a squad with higher individual OVR but fewer active chemistry labels. This is why building within one category — and working toward the FULL HOUSE?! formation for that category — is the most efficient long-term strategy.
